How do I join?
The Golf Society provides CILT members and past-members an opportunity to foster professional, business and sporting contacts. Its membership list reads like a ‘who’s who’ of transport & logistics professionals. To join the Golf Society please contact firstname.lastname@example.org T: 01536 740 174.
The Golf Society organises a full programme of events for its members and their guests at attractive venues and at subsided rates. Our meetings are primarily played at good quality traditional members’ clubs and our priority is always for members and guests to enjoy their golf, the venue and each other’s company.
Members and former members of the CILT(UK) (or the forming Institutes before integration on 1 June 1999) and members of a membership body within CILT (e.g. IOM) are eligible to become members of the Golf Society. That eligibility includes staff at the Institute HQ and nominated ‘key employees’ of organisations or companies with a Corporate Partnership with the Institute. As you know, thanks to arrangements agreed with our sponsors, we are usually able to offer eligible members of the Golf Society generous reductions on the fees for our main events. To be entitled to play at these discounted rates, a member must have paid his/her Golf Society annual subscription and be an eligible member as described above. For those of you who have not previously been a member of the Institute, please note that our discounted rates go some way to offset the cost of CILT (UK) subscriptions (in 2021: Affiliate grade £130, Retired Member grade £75) so, if you have not done so before, please join the Institute.
All correspondence and notices for Society events are sent out to those on our Membership List by the Institute Centre at Corby. Our contact (administrator) there is Lauren Elliott, please help her by quoting your CILT(UK) membership (or past member) number when requested; and choose to receive your Golf Society correspondence by e-mail whenever possible.
