Due to an unfortunate clash with a rescheduled significant industry event, please note that our Summer Meeting will now be held on Monday 1st July 2019 and not Thursday 27th June as previously advised.

Once again, and with grateful thanks for their ability to accommodate the change of date, we return to Copt Heath Golf Club, centrally located near Solihull, and with happy memories of the excellent day we had last year. This attractive course designed by Harry Varden and Harry Colt is rated in the Top 100 and home of the Peter McEvoy Trophy. For details see: www.coptheathgolf.co.uk

The programme has been adjusted to ease travel arrangements and is as follows:

0815 onwards Optional 9 hole Stableford (play in 3s) (£10 extra);
1000 – 1100 Coffee and bacon rolls in the Clubhouse;
1100 onwards 18 Hole Individual Stableford (full handicap) from 1st Yellow tee.
1700 approx Prize Giving and three course dinner.

We have sponsorship support for dinner from Britannia Bureau (thanks to Mark Taylor) and for wine by Artko Ltd (thanks to Michael Pestereff). With further backing from Golf Society funds we have reduced the cost of this £95 package to £55 for eligible members; non-entitled members and guests are welcome at a rate of £70 each. Those playing the optional 9 hole Stableford at 0845 must pay an extra £10.

Please return your Summer19 Entry Form.doc for the Summer Meeting by 17 June 2019 to Richard Burgess who has again kindly agreed to organise this meeting, with help from Martin Elliot. Richard’s contact number if you need it is: 01283 712760; Mobile 07479 880844; e-mail: richardburgess42@btopenworld.com Starting tee times and directions to Copt Heath GC etc will be sent out by Richard. Please note that, as we have to give a commitment to the Golf Club on numbers, no refunds can be given for withdrawals after 21 June 2019.
